Under guidance of the chair of wind energy technology a wind tunnel test to investigate aerodynamic response of the novel blade design invented by Windrad Engineering designers has successfully been completed in the wind tunnel of the University of Rostock. Part of the work was carried out as an internship by the student Fatma Jelili of the Southern Mediterranean University in Tunis. Ms. Jelili is the first intern from Tunisia to do an internship in the framework of a cooperation of companies and research institutes from Tunisia and Mecklenburg West Pomerania on the subject of wind energy. The exchange was originally initiated by Rostock’s Member of Parliament Peter Stein.
Results will be utilized to support a novel modularization and fabrication concept for blades. This project is financially supported by Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The internship was supported by Windrad Engineering GmbH
